This experiment is complete, and was successful. Ads.txt worked well with our reverse proxy implementation. Ads are now removed from Sygnal's site.
Why am I seeing Ads on Sygnal's site?
We're a few large clients who have asked about integrating Google's AdSense into their sites, and had problems doing it on Webflow.
This is because AdSense and other ad providers require a special /ads.txt file Webflow does not support.
We fixed that and are testing the results for some time;
- See how the integration works
- Gather some data on in the AdSense dashboard
- See how the UX is affected in different configurations
This experiment will likely run 2 months, and then we'll remove them.
