“When I attempt to access my site, I see a www.www. in front of my custom domain name.”
This is caused by a misconfiguration.
IMPORTANT: The solution below is for a typical Webflow site setup. If you are trying to make your root domain ( without the www ) your default domain, then you need CNAME flattening support in your DNS, and a different configuration.
Typical Webflow Solution
- In your DNS, verify that your A and CNAME records are properly configured and propagated. This can take up to 48 hours to happen worldwide.
- In your Webflow Site Settings, set the www version of your domain name as the Default Domain.
- Republish.
Wait for the smoke to clear. Browsers can cache redirects for hours.
