As of Nov-2022, Webflow's Memberships is in BETA and developing well, however there are a range of critical features that are not yet available, such as;
- The ability to gate CMS items, e.g. courses or articles so that they are accessible to members only.
- Script access to login state;
- > The ability to detect whether a user is logged in or not
- > The ability to detect their groups
- > The ability to capture their Member record details, including special fields, to allow app-like functionality

I currently use Sentry login integrated with Webflow. I feel that Webflow needs to do a lot better with their membership features including the ability to add users manually or import data via CSV as with all other good membership add-ons without going through any advanced hoops. What I particularly like about Sentry Login is to have an overview of who has logged in to our members area. The system is also able to see if members' have forgotten passwords etc. Occasionally I intervene providing solutions for these members. I think it is important for Webflow to have some safeguard for login abuses e.g. can only be used for one instance at any one time. If the login is used from multiple ip addresses the system should flag this. I would also like to see more info on how to migrate Stripe subscriptions that are already in operation. Other services such as Memberstack I believe help with migration of existing Stripe migrations. I cant help but feel that Webflow have had years to develop something way better than what we have in the beta phase, integrating features that others have developed for a more robust solution. I appreciate this is in BETA at the moment, I hope new features are added swiftly.
