In some circumstances, esp for GDPR compliance, you may need to remove your Google fonts.
However, even when you have removed a Google font from your site's font settings, Webflow will continue to load it if there are any elements which reference it.
Your job is to locate and change those references so that the font is no longer referenced, and Webflow can then stop adding it to your published site.
How do I find font X?
Webflow has a process to help you locate these, built directly into the style tool-
https://help.webflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/33961364593043-Add-Google-Fonts#important-webflows-google-font-int
However, there are certain situations in which that tool alone may not be enough. As of 13-Jan-2025, it does not appear to find font families that are specified on breakpoint overrides, even if you use the style tool while switched to that breakpoint.
This means using the CSS file directly to identify and locate these is your best bet.
Thanks to Tom Pranke for helping me identify this problem, here's how to solve it-
