XnConvert is Sygnal's favorite tool for batch image optimization.

It's low cost ( 15.00 € for a commercial license, free for personal use ), and supports both Windows and Mac.

It boasts a huge array of features that are valuable to Webflow designers;

  • WEBP and AVIF export
  • Resizing options, as in max width and height of the image
  • Effects ( crop, color adjustments, filter, etc. )
  • Watermarking support
  • Imports from over 500 formats
  • File renaming ( Webflow is picky on filenames during import )

Advanced features;

  • Saved configuration profiles
  • Command line interface for those building automation processes

Pro Tips

  • Set an action with a maximum image size, so that over-large images will be size-reduced
  • For AVIF export, use lossy settings to get small file sizes
  • In your export filename settings, use datetime, and image dimensions to make them easy to identify in your folders
